Thomas Keane is a Chicago native who graduated from the University of Illinois with degrees in mechanical engineering and English literature. After working as a business consultant for Ernst & Young, he completed an MD at Albany Medical College, a surgery internship at Johns Hopkins, and a radiology residency at New York Presyterian Cornell. He currently serves as chief fellow in the interventional radiology department at Johns Hopkins. Since 2007, Dr. Keane has served as a member of the US Council for Graduate Medical Education (www.cogme.gov), and is the 2009 Health And Human Services Senior Medical Advisor to the Deputy Secretary in Washington, DC.
